About the Author

Paul Hackney is the author of three books, the latest, Just Blown off the Mound, to be released by Rowman and Littlefield in September 2027. The book is the inspirational true story of Clem Ridgeway, a pitching prodegy and boyhood friend of John Updike.

Hackney previously wrote Swing or Go Home! Minor League Baseball in Utica (2014) and Not Just Another Fall: The World Series and Me (2020). Both books were published by Rowman & Littlefield.

Paul Hackney lives and works in Cooperstown, New York with his wife, Edith Fay, and their three children.
